Privacy policy

control-your-tesla is a hosted MCP connector. This policy describes the data we store when you create an account, pair a vehicle, or subscribe. Tesla is a trademark of Tesla, Inc. control-your-tesla is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla.

What we store

  • Account email and a session cookie. Sign-in is password, Google, or a magic link.
  • Tesla OAuth refresh tokens, stored encrypted on the server. Access tokens are short-lived. Agents never see Tesla tokens — only the MCP URL.
  • Vehicle identifiers we need to run commands: VIN, display name, pairing and connection flags, and granted Fleet API scopes.
  • Vehicle data (battery, location, climate, lock, charging) cached in process memory for about 30 seconds so idle status checks do not hit Tesla again. The cache is not a long-term store and is not Fleet Telemetry.
  • Charging history and energy-site (Powerwall / solar) status when a tool requests them from Tesla. We do not keep a separate long-term copy beyond monthly usage meters.
  • Monthly usage counts: commands, vehicle_data reads, and wakes.
  • Stripe customer and subscription IDs. Card numbers stay with Stripe. We never store a full card number.
  • Connected-agent client IDs and last-used timestamps so you can revoke an agent.
  • Support form name, email, and message when you write from the support page. The public product inbox is listed on that page.

Who processes it

Accounts and encrypted tokens live in Supabase. The app runs on Vercel. Payments are processed by Stripe. Tesla receives OAuth and Fleet API requests when you pair a car or a tool needs live data. A reviewer demo account uses a simulated vehicle and does not call the Fleet API.

What tools return

Authenticated MCP tools can return email, VIN, location, lock and climate state, battery and range, charging status and history, and energy-site status when those exist on the Tesla account. We do not sell vehicle data.

Deletion

Write from the account inbox on the support page or email j@quickscalellc.com to delete the account, revoke Tesla tokens, and remove stored profile data. You can also remove the virtual key in the Tesla app and cancel the Stripe subscription.
